Dek-King Fabricator Training Courses
If you follow us on social media, you would have seen some photographs from our recent Dek-King fabricator training course. The course provides an excellent introduction for future fabricators to working with our Dek-King synthetic teak. Run over three days, courses allow delegates to develop their skills in a friendly group environment alongside an experienced trainer.
We are proud to have run four of these popular courses already this year from which a total of thirty-one new fabricators have qualified.
The first course took place in January at the headquarters of our US distributor, World Panel Products in Florida. Seeing skilled individuals from East and West coast USA as well as Canada complete the course. These delegates go on to further strengthen the Dek-King network of fabricators and fitters throughout North America.
Additional fabricator training courses took place in February, March, and June here at our premises in Essex. Seeing a total of twenty six delegates from marine companies spanning Germany, Italy, Malta, Portugal and Spain. These courses saw delegates rapid advancement from welding gun novices through to panel fabricators by the completion of the course.
Our Dek-King training course focuses on the different techniques used in deck fabrication whilst providing the opportunity for professional networking. Starting with basic welding methods through to panel fabrication, margins, corner styles and mitres. Skills taught allow for the creation of panels which feature hatches and other deck fittings. On completion, we aim for delegates to be confident in creating swept decks featuring herringbone detailing. Continued professional development is available through our online Dek-King training manuals and videos.
